Foundation

Garage construction – step by step. Any construction begins with a foundation. In our case, for the construction of a garage from light steel structures, the requirements for the foundation are minimal. A level and solid base is necessary. We recommend a shallow foundation slab on a sand and gravel cushion. But it can also be:

• an asphalt site,
• evenly laid concrete slabs,
• a strip foundation,
• concrete slabs around the perimeter.

In any case, the choice of foundation is individual and depends on the wishes of the owner and the local conditions. Garage frame

The next stage of garage construction is the installation of the supporting frame. The metal frame is assembled from galvanized profiles cut to size in 2-3 days.

First, individual elements are assembled – walls and rafter trusses. Then they are connected into one rigid structure. The mass of the components is insignificant. Two people can lift and install them. At the same time, the structure is light and durable. Therefore, even soil movements on the site are not a problem for such a country garage.

Garage roof

On the installed metal frame, the installation of external finishing materials – roofing and facade – begins.

Installation of the roof covering – metal tiles or corrugated sheets together with accessories is facilitated by the ideal evenness of the surfaces of the rafter trusses. This speeds up the finishing of the walls and the installation of the garage as a whole. There is no need for additional adjustment of the sheets. The large area of ​​these sheets allows you to quickly attach these materials. The entire installation is carried out using simple power tools.

Garage facade

Installation of the facade of the prefabricated garage on a metal frame is also simple – thanks to the even surfaces.

Sheets of corrugated sheets are installed on the walls along the perimeter, then finishing profiles are mounted.

When using siding, additional vertical lathing is attached first. After that, finishing profiles are installed, and only then are siding panels assembled. At this point, the garage installation is basically complete. Further work depends on the project version.

Windows and doors

A number of standard projects provide for windows and doors. At your request, they can be installed in any garage project.

Windows and doors are installed in the gaps between the frame profiles. When installing windows and doors, the strength of the metal frame is preserved. In this case, additional galvanized steel profiles are used to strengthen the structure.

Slopes and ebbs are attached along the perimeter of the windows and doors, as well as the corresponding framing accessories for each type of facade. The price of windows and doors includes all the necessary components.

Garage drainage system

When building a garage, the installation of the drainage system begins simultaneously with the installation of the roof.

Gutter hooks are installed immediately, and the remaining elements – gutters, pipes, fasteners – are installed after the facade is installed.

The modern Swedish drainage system is installed quite easily and quickly thanks to a whole system of design innovations developed by specialists of the Swedish company. The protective polymer coating makes the drainage durable and prevents rusty spots from appearing.

Garage doors

Sectional garage doors do not require additional space – when opened, the door leaf goes up along the guides under the ceiling.

The doors are supplied ready for installation, so their installation takes only a few hours. The permissible smallest lintel size is 100 mm (the door leaf will go into this space when opening), the minimum distance from the wall to the guides is 120 mm.

If the door is lifted manually, a balancing spring system is installed. With it, a door leaf weighing 55-60 kg can be easily lifted with one hand. If the gate is remotely controlled, an electric drive is installed.

Garage construction – Insulation of the garage

If the garage is to be insulated during installation, then at the stage of assembling the frame it is necessary to install waterproofing under the metal sheathing.

The insulation itself is installed in the gaps between the steel profiles and is covered from the inside with interior finishing – corrugated sheeting.

The distance between the profiles exactly corresponds to the width of the insulation boards. The roof is insulated along the ceiling.

Interior finishing of the garage

If corrugated sheeting is used as interior finishing, then additional painting or plastering is not required.

The protective polymer coating has a quite decent and finished appearance. It is also very durable and does not require labor-intensive maintenance during operation.

The installation of corrugated sheeting on the walls and ceiling is carried out using self-tapping screws and additional profiles, similar to the installation of the facade.
