Drop ceiling installation begins with the development of a design project. Suspended ceiling systems are widely used in any premises, but in order to create a beautiful interior, the installation must be carried out according to all the rules.

The scheme and price depend on its type. For example, the installation of slatted aluminum and metal ceilings is somewhat different from the arrangement of cassette structures. But in general, the same stages are characteristic of any type.

Drop ceiling installation – the main stages

• Fastening of the wall corner profile – is carried out along the perimeter of the walls at a distance of 5-15 cm from the main ceiling.
• Fastening of the load-bearing rails to the base surface – is carried out using self-tapping screws or adjustable hangers.
• Fastening of longitudinal and transverse elements of the structure.
• Installation of slatted panels, cassettes and other types of ceiling tiles.
• Installation of lighting fixtures.

For suspended structures, preliminary preparation of the base surface is not required, which significantly reduces the time of work. The cost of installing a suspended ceiling will depend on the area of ​​the room and the level of complexity of the structure.

Drop ceiling installation – installation features

Grillato. They are a lattice structure that looks like individual cells. The grilles are installed in a pre-prepared mesh frame. The lamps can be installed in place of any grille or built into the cells.

Cassette. The suspended system can have the form of a grid with rectangular or square sections (depending on the shape of the cassettes). After installing the frame, all that remains is to place the panels in the mounting sections. The lamps can be installed in place of the ceiling tiles or in holes cut in the surface of the cassettes.

Mirror. A ceiling with a reflective surface can have a slatted or cassette structure with ceiling tiles made of mirror sheet, glass, acrylic, metal or aluminum. First, the suspended frame is fastened, and then the mirror slats or slabs are installed.

Armstrong ceiling installation. The supporting structure involves the presence of longitudinal and transverse slats, which is a grid with equal square sections. After installing the frame, all that remains is to lay the panels and lamps, which can be built in instead of any of the ceiling tiles.

Installation of a slatted ceiling. The supporting frame has only longitudinal elements to which decorative slats are attached. Each panel is attached to an already installed slat on one side, and the other side is snapped into place with a clamp on the supporting rail. To make it easier to install the lighting, it is better to immediately take panels with holes for spotlights.
